The inspiration:

Perre L. Shelton, founder of THE LAMAR METHOD (TLM) was inspired by his history of working with marginalized and underrepresented populations such as people of color, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, etc. As he continued to train and prepare himself for a robust world of building things (systems, organizations, technologies) that respond to a changing world, he was shocked at how bifurcated he was forced to be when it comes to his experience as an operations professional, innovations strategist, and project manager versus his experience as a social betterment advocate, person-centered theorist, and diversity & inclusion professional. In developing TLM he challenged himself to consider a framework for operations and strategy that promoted the bottom-line of the organization by centering employees that work feel dignified in their work, confident in their capacity, and valued.

The establishment:

TLM is a trademark person-centered business strategy that aspires toward operations and management excellence by combining the strengths and resilience of people with the benefits of agile project management, enhanced information technology/computing, facilitatory-leadership, and knowledge management. TLM incorporates some of the tenets of vocational psychology and leadership counseling such as vocational self-efficacy, esteem and empowerment, team solidarity, mentorship, and effective communication. TLM is one of the only comprehensive frameworks for organizational change that champions human dignity, social-equality and corporate ethics as central operational imperatives.
